At Raheema Foundation, our Water, Health & Emergency Relief program is implemented in full accordance with Islamic Zakat principles. Zakat entrusted to us is distributed strictly to eligible beneficiaries (Asnaf), primarily Al-Fuqara (the poor), Al-Masakin (the needy), and Al-Gharimin (those burdened by debt due to hardship). Our aim is to preserve life, relieve suffering, and restore dignity through direct and accountable Zakat distribution.
Clean Water Support for Zakat-Eligible Families
Zakat funds are used to provide safe and immediate access to clean drinking water for poor and needy households that cannot afford this basic necessity. Support is delivered as direct assistance to eligible beneficiaries, particularly during water shortages and emergencies, to reduce disease risk and ease hardship.
Food Relief for the Poor and Needy
Raheema Foundation distributes food relief packages funded by Zakat to verified Zakat-eligible individuals and families, including widows, orphans, displaced persons, and households facing acute food insecurity. Food assistance is provided as direct consumption support to meet urgent needs and protect families from hunger.
Medical Support for Zakat-Eligible Beneficiaries
Zakat funds are allocated to provide essential medical support for poor and needy individuals who cannot afford healthcare. This includes payment for medical treatment, medicines, diagnostic tests, and urgent health interventions. Assistance is given directly to beneficiaries to alleviate hardship and preserve life, in line with Islamic rulings on Zakat use.
Emergency Relief During Disasters and Crises
In cases of disasters, fires, displacement, or sudden crises, Zakat funds are used to provide immediate emergency assistance to affected individuals who qualify under Zakat criteria. Support includes emergency food, medical aid, and essential household items to relieve urgent suffering and stabilize affected families.
